Thorner’s began with the simple idea of providing quality butchery meat, sourced in Somerset whenever possible. This is still one of our core values and now, in addition to fresh meat, we are proud to offer an award winning range of pies, quiches, savouries, ready meals, desserts & cakes.

Established in 1999 as a not-for-profit organisation Somerset Farmers' Markets was set up to support and promote local farmers, food and drink producers and local towns. We aim to enhance town centres with vibrant markets providing customers with fresh, high-quality and traceable produce.

The concept of slow farming and slow food are, at their core, the antithesis of the over-processed fast food we as a nation – and world - have become increasingly accustomed to. Every penny spent with us supports small-scale regenerative meat and egg production, alongside British makers and heritage craftspeople.

While Glastonbury is widely known for its musical festival it was also the host of the first Somerset Farmers’ Markets in 1999!
