Farm Shops & Farmer Markets

Having organised farmer’s markets across Somerset for over 20 years, non-profit organisation Somerset Farmers’ Market offers its visitors a vast array of high quality, local, and traceable produce.

With a passion for both local community and sustainability, Somerset Farmers’ Market prides itself on ensuring that its markets are stocked with an exciting assortment of locally produced goods. The organisation was created to ‘act locally’ in combatting climate change by focusing on sustainable development at a grass roots level. Through supporting local farms, food and drink producers, and encouraging shoppers to buy local, the organisation has ensured that smaller businesses are supported and promoted while food miles and their negative impact on the environment are minimised.

From medieval town squares to bustling high streets, each of the 8 markets across Somerset are full of character and boast a unique line-up of 100 highly skilled local producers. Visitors can browse, sample, and select from an assortment of locally produced goods, while also having the opportunity to talk directly to those who have produced them. Our producers are highly knowledgeable, passionate, and always happy to help answer your queries; from production processes to recipe ideas!
