Brean Splash
Brean Splash on the Somerset coast is a family owned business located at Brean Leisure Park in Brean Sands, Somerset 10 mins from M5, J22 Burnham On Sea, Somerset.
Among the most magical of natural wonders are the glistening, glacier like formations created in caves from the action of water on limestone. We are lucky enough to have show caves at Cheddar and Wookey Hole. Wookey has the largest underground dome in the UK, a river, a ‘giant’ and a ‘witch’ while Gough’s Cave in Cheddar has chambers known as St Paul’s Cathedral and Solomon’s Temple as well as a black cat. There are big cats of the real variety at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm. In fact there are animals from alpacas to zebras and everything in between at this award-winning hands-on zoo and working farm. On Exmoor, the Owl and Hawk Centre has a large collection of owls and birds of prey that you can watch being flown. Near Crewkerne is the South West Deer Rescue Centre where you can have a rare close-up view of these timid creatures. One brilliant way to see the countryside and the coast is to catch a steam train at one of the smart little stations along the 20-mile track of the UK’s longest heritage railway. The historic steam locomotives, coaches and wagons of the West Somerset Railway are a joy to behold.
The Jane Austen Centre is in the heart of the Georgian city of Bath, between the architectural attractions of Queen Square and the Circus, and just a short stroll from Bath Abbey, the Assembly Rooms and the Roman Baths. Come and meet their costumed ‘character’ guides, and enjoy being shown Bath’s fascinating history and its associations with Jane Austen and her family.
Wookey Hole is a magical place of caves, legends, and adventure for all ages. It’s an experience millions of years in the making with plenty to do inside and out. Enjoy vintage penny arcades, museums, adventure golf, and soft play zones, and of course the famous, beautiful caves.
Cheddar Gorge & Caves boasts extraordinary subterranean show caves, awe-inspiring cliffs and holds many fascinating secrets about our prehistoric ancestors.
