Clevedon’s Charter Market is located in the heart of town in Queen’s Square and operates every Thursday throughout the year.

It has a fabulous history…It was granted charter status in 1346 by King Edward lll and still holds that status today. This means that it has a zone of protection around it of six and three quarter miles and no other market is allowed to set up on a Thursday within that area. It would take an act of parliament to shut it down. Over the years as permanent retail shops appeared, the market disappeared, but then in 2003 was revived and today goes from strength to strength. We have around 20 regular stalls and several casuals stalls. Most weeks you will find a wonderful selection of food ranging from Fresh Fruit and Veg, Fish, Amazing Cheese and an award winning Bread and Cakes. There are Jewellery stalls, Clothing, Smoking Sundries. Plants. Craft stalls plus much much more
