The Jane Austen Centre is in the heart of the Georgian city of Bath, between the architectural attractions of Queen Square and the Circus, and just a short stroll from Bath Abbey, the Assembly Rooms and the Roman Baths. Come and meet their costumed ‘character’ guides, and enjoy being shown Bath’s fascinating history and its associations with Jane Austen and her family.
Ferne Animal Sanctuary is set within 72 acres of beautiful & protected countryside, in the Blackdown Hills on the Devon/Somerset border. This charitable sanctuary takes in unwanted, abandoned and neglected animals and gives them a fantastic life either at the sanctuary or by finding them a special forever home.
East Quay is a brand new arts and culture venue in the harbour town of Watchet, Somerset. It is home to two contemporary art galleries, 11 artist studios, a paper mill, a geology workshop, print studio, restaurant, shop and 5 unique places to stay, all on the quayside in Watchet.
Taunton School is a co-educational independent school serving pupils aged 13 to 18. The campus also includes Taunton School International and Taunton School International Middle School for overseas students; Taunton Preparatory School (aged 7 to 13); Taunton Pre-Prep School (aged 4 to 7); and Taunton Nursery (aged 0 to 4).
The Playhouse Theatre is available for hire for both community and professional shows and as a venue for conferences, meetings and corporate events. In addition to the main auditorium the theatres facilities include a licensed bar, meeting and rehearsal spaces and full disabled access.
One Craft Gallery is a well-established co-operative owned and run by the craft gallery members. The gallery showcases members work and offers a wide range of creative and decorative pieces.
Located in the beautiful historical Old Town Hall building in the centre of the lovely old market town of Somerton, ACE holds an annual programme of free exhibitions. The retail space allows visitors to purchase items from exhibitors and other mainly local artists.
The Jane Austen Giftshop is located on the ground floor of the Jane Austen Centre on Gay Street, Bath.
