CAMPING, GLAMPING & CABINS IN SOMERSET
Warren Farm has been in the Small family since 1945. Cattle and sheep graze the limestone grasslands, enjoying some spectacular views across the Somerset levels. In fact, we believe Warren Farm to be one of the most beautifully located farms in the heart of Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) because of its location, overlooking the world famous Cheddar Gorge, the highest inland cliffs in England.
The animals graze on hundreds of acres of conservation land, some belonging to the National and Somerset Wildlife Trusts. Despite its inspiring size, some 1000 acres, there is much warmth in the details. We have had a lot of fun setting up the tents and wooden cabins, also in planning this unique farm holiday experience for you and we really hope you enjoy your stay with us.
Details like the pigs, chickens and occasionally sheep in the animal paddocks close to the tents, and the children's play area close to the wood fired bread oven where tasty meals and treats can be cooked. At certain times there is the opportunity to take part in the pizza night (busy weekends or school holidays during April to October) just after a farm tour, everything is supplied, you just make up your pizza and James will cook it for you.
You can eat well during your glamping adventure, with a selection of hampers bookable as extras. Furthermore, the farm larder is well-stocked with a range of local goodies and at times beef and lamb from the farm; you might want to indulge on some sweet marshmallows and hot chocolate at the campfire.
Each tent has running water, flushing toilet, beds with duvets, sofas, crockery, cooking utensils, table and chairs and linen can be provided as an extra. The cabins have the same facilities as the tents, but also the extra touch of also having a heated shower within, adding that little touch of luxury to your stay. Lighting is by candles and oil lamps, no electric here! This is really getting away from the stresses of modern life and slipping back to an earlier time, to family time.
