East Quay
East Quay is an arts centre and cultural venue in the heart of Watchet, a pretty picturesque harbourtown in Somerset. Situated on theharbour side, East Quay has fabulous views of the surrounding coast and countryside, nestled between Exmoor National Park and Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

East Quay is a contemporary cultural venue, described by Olly Wainwright in The Guardian as ‘A piratical beacon of culture’. Run as a social enterprise, its playful architecture is home to two contemporary galleries which exhibit national and international artists, commissioned to explore themes of identity and belonging, community and place and climate and change. East Quay also runs a creative education programme including courses and workshops throughout the year. Visit and explore the 14 creative businesses and artist studios and talk to artists while they work, including the hand-made papermill Two Rivers Paper, which makes bespoke artisan paper, using traditional techniques, as well as a print studio and geology lab.

Visitors can enjoy the Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant either inside or outside in the courtyard within the heart of the building. There are also 5 bespoke accommodation pods to stay in, each for the adventurous traveller and situated high, some on stilts, with outstanding views of the surrounding area.

Events run throughout the year, with family focussed events taking place every day of the school holidays.
