Beautiful views across to Wales. Paddle steamer trips from the -pier, to Lundy, North Devon, Penarth and Gloucester. An ideal base for walkers and cyclists.
Background to Cavell House
Originally the Victorian home of Lord and Lady Belgrave, it later became a residential Girls School and Nurse Edith Cavell (the world war one heroine) spent some of her school days here. Prior to George and Daphne Hamnett becoming proprietors in 1996, Cavell House was a childrens home administered by the Assemblies of God Pentecostal Church.
