The medieval village of Dunster is in Somerset within the Exmoor National Park.
Dunster West Somerset is set between the foothills of Exmoor National Park and the Somerset coast, Dunster is probably the largest and most intact medieval village in England. We are a national treasure!

Dominated by Dunster Castle, Dunster has a wealth of history to discover, including the iconic Yarn Market, the remains of a Benedictine priory, a Working Watermill, Packhorse Bridge and Iron Age settlements. It has such a fascinating history, Time Team Dig Village chose it as its first village to investigate!

Dunster is a very special and unique place. From the village you can take a number of stunning walks into the Exmoor hills and it makes a great base to explore the rest of Exmoor and Devon.
