John Fowler Holidays are celebrating their success at the Bristol, Bath & Somerset Tourism Awards last week, after Sandy Glade Holiday Park at Brean won the Silver award in the Holiday Park of the Year category. The Holiday Park of the Year category recognises holiday parks, sites and villages that provide exceptional guest experiences.
The awards ceremony took place on November 30th at The Bristol Hotel where 64 awards were presented to the region’s best tourism businesses.
General Manager, David Harper, is proud of what his team has achieved:

John Fowler Holidays started in 1953 when John Fowler left the merchant navy and invested his savings in a single caravan for £85 which he sited near Newquay. Having advertised this in a West Midlands newspaper, the booking applications started to come in. Soon he was able to re-invest the profits in another caravan and so John Fowler Holidays was born.
In 2023 the company celebrated their 70
th Anniversary with 13 holiday parks across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Wales.
