A new leaflet exchange and networking event, at Antiques Bazaar, Crewkerne, 21st March

Innovative project to provide a new way of measuring the impact of the visitor sector on the region

Somerset Council has declared a financial emergency and has published a list of intended cost savings which are important for the visitor economy - Consultation closes MONDAY.

An opportunity to connect with like-minded tourism and hospitality professionals at the Somerset and Exmoor Tourism Coastal Networking Meeting. This free event will take place on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 and is kindly being hosted by Somerset Film at The Engine Room.

Somerset Council are eager to engage with, and listen to, as many businesses as possible.

Jane Egginton is a member of the British Guild of Travel Writers and will be presenting at this year's AGM/Conference.

Visit Somerset is working with other tourism partners across the South West region, in undertaking another business impact survey to collect more hard evidence regarding the impacts of continued rising costs and the cost of living crisis, what key the key issues are and what support businesses need for future survival and growth.

The toolkit includes practical guidance on providing an inclusive welcome, designing accessible buildings, employing disabled people and creating quality accessibility information.
