North Somerset Healthy Workplaces Event - 24 November 2023

We wanted to let you know the details of our next Healthy Workplaces event and also ask if anyone has any suggestions for enhancing the program. All ideas are welcome.

We are very pleased to be hosting Professor Tony Woolf who will speak about Musculoskeletal health in the workplace and what we all need to do, we have a Move More quiz, Rachel Faulkener and Steve Barnard are coming to talk about getting men to talk more and experiences from Talk Club, we have a ‘Stores of change’ section where we have invited all the workplaces on our award programme to tell us about all their fantastic initiatives to keep their employees healthy, we will be presenting our members with their certificates and also those who have progressed onto the bronze awards already. We have got a variety of stalls in the marketplace and we will be running bitesize workshops at lunchtime as well as a wellbeing walk for people to join in.

North Somerset Healthy Workplaces Event
Friday 24 November 2023 10am – 3pm
The Ballroom, Winter Gardens, Weston-Super-Mare

This free event will be an opportunity to hear from Workplace Health and Wellbeing experts in a series of talks, presentation of awards to workplaces on the ‘North Somerset Healthy Workplaces Awards’ scheme and hear ‘Stories of change’ from workplaces who are creating a healthier workplace for staff. There will be a marketplace of stalls as well as bitesize workshops to support us all to be healthy at work.

It will be a great opportunity for employers across North Somerset to meet and network with the vision of ensuring our workplaces provide the ideal environment for people and therefore businesses to thrive.
