In the lovely light of a summer’s evening hot air balloons float, seemingly effortlessly, across the sky while we sit in our gardens, perhaps with a nice drink or enjoying a barbecue and gaze up as they pass overhead.

Can they see us, do you think? And what a view they must have, far and wide across the Somerset countryside, from the golden fields on the skirts of the Quantocks to the dark green cloak of the Blackdowns and over countless villages, taking them in with a whole different perspective.

Over the last 18 difficult months many people have had plans for celebrating a special occasion thwarted with city breaks, holidays and events cancelled. A flight in a hot air balloon - perhaps made even more special with a glass or two of champagne - would be a magical way to celebrate a special event as a couple or as a family.
