Coastal Strategy Meeting
John Turner Visit Somerset CEO has said; " I am particularly looking forward to coordinating this with our public and private sector partners. Somerset's coastline boasts forty nine miles of glorious coastline, that in itself boasts a wealth of opportunity from wellbeing, sandy beaches, fossil hunting and many varieties of water sports, fishing and lot more." 

Here is the agenda:

 *   Introductions
 *   Back ground to the Hinkley Tourism Action Partnership and its support of the project.
 *   Define all of unique selling points to each coastal town represented and look at how we create a coastal town trail  - Talk through the creative marketing opportunity and how HTAP/ Visit Somerset will support - commission a creative opportunity to use to take to markets.
 *   Discuss with PR agency how we can attract journalists and tour operators once the USP’s have been defined.
 *   Understand what the varying target markets are visiting your coastal towns at present and what all of your aspirational customers are.
 *   Understand the routes to market; rail, bus, coach, car. How are we working with these transport networks and what can we do attract more visitors through the different modes of transport
 *   To talk through the MICE market and staycation markets and any opportunities to target those markets, such as twin town staycations.
