In the spring of 2023, Visit Somerset facilitated a trip to Somerset by renowned travel writer James Litston who was preparing a piece for the Daily Mail. James was hosted in Bridgwater by Peter and Candy Leaver at the Old Vicarage Hotel who are members of Visit Somerset.
Over the course of two full days, we escorted James to Ham Wall, Greylake, Steart, Westonzoyland - he also visited Glastonbury and compiled an excellent article that is ideal for all year-round interest but particularly for out-of-season short breaks, especially for nature lovers, history followers and bird enthusiasts.
