Brean Down is a promontory of the Mendips Hills extending 1.5 miles out into the Bristol Channel at the eastern end of Bridgwater Bay with views over to the two small islands of Steep Holm and Flat Holm.
The circular walk centred on St Audries Beach is ideal for families as it has plenty to stir the imagination with interesting rock patterns – natural and man-made – an incredible waterfall, fossils and sea creatures.

Amazing rock formations are revealed at low-tide on this walk from the charming and historic estate of Lilstock which offers glimpses of rare flora and fauna and remarkable geology
The walk around historic Bridgwater fittingly starts and finishes at the Docks because thanks to its position on the tidal river Parrett.
The walk centred on Steart Marshes opens up a fascinating world of newly created salt marsh which is acting as a buffer against rising sea levels and a fantastic habitat for a range of unusual flora and wildfowl.
Jaw dropping gorges, caves and rocky ravines in the Mendips, walk where Exmoor National Park falls into the ocean on the South West Coast Path. Journey in the footsteps of the Romantic Poets on The Coleridge Way...
