As a mainly rural County, it may not surprise you to learn that it is home to a wide variety of Arts & Crafts. Well we sometimes have to make our own entertainment. Added to that, we are surrounded by beauty to inspire Art and natural resources from which to craft beautiful things. See for yourself or better still learn a new skill.
Coates English Willow (Willow and Wetlands)
Discover an enormous range of willow baskets made by our team of skilled craftsmen and women using our own home-grown willow on the Levels in Somerset.
Known for its alternative outlook and artsy locals, Somerset is a treasure trove of artisan produce. Pick up unique pieces of locally-produced artwork and pottery, plus fragrant products made from native Somerset lavender.
Located in the beautiful historical Old Town Hall building in the centre of the lovely old market town of Somerton, ACE holds an annual programme of free exhibitions. The retail space allows visitors to purchase items from exhibitors and other mainly local artists.
We are a friendly group of enthusiasts who meet every Tuesday at 7:30pm at the Sydenham Community Centre during the season which runs from September until May. During our season, we aim to host a varied and interesting programme, including monthly competitions, as well as lectures from our own members, and invited speakers, practical evenings and internal competitions.
The Jane Austen Giftshop is located on the ground floor of the Jane Austen Centre on Gay Street, Bath.
The Roman Baths has two shops where you can buy interesting and exclusive gifts.
The Victoria Art Gallery is located in the centre of Bath, close to the famous Pulteney Bridge. Entry to permanent exhibitions is free.
