Dozy, Beack Mick & Tich

A Band who were known for their very colourful stage Gear and inventive style was a Band called Dave Dee Dozy, Beaky, Mick &Tich.

Between December 1965 and May 1969 when Dave Dee left the Group DBM&T spent a Sensational 141 weeks in the UK charts with 13 Major Hit Singles with Sell Out Tours of Australia New Zealand Japan and Europe.

To be a Musician in the Sixties or being a Musician of today was and still is to have Number one success. This was achieved for Dave Dee Dozy Beaky Mick &Tich early in 68 with the influence of Spanish culture depicted in the song and the sounding of flamenco guitars and the cracking from a whip. The Legend of Xanadu was born and became a number 1 hit charting for 12 weeks.

Following Dave Dee's departure in 69 Dozy Beaky Mick &Tich were to follow up with a new album called Fresh Air from which came the single Mr President. The 70s and 80s saw extensive tours of Europe, New Zealand and the Middle East also doing recording projects in studios.

Late 80s Dozy Beaky Mick &Tich decided to stop gigging on the road and opened a Sixties bar in Puerto Banus near Marbella. Entertaining the rich and famous but after a period of two years away from the UK they decided to go back home and started touring.

Sunday 10th March

New Honeycombs (daytime)

The Honeycombs burst onto the pop scene with the worldwide hit number one “ Have I the right” in 1964 followed by another Howard and Blakely composition “That’s the way” followed by other hits “Is it because” and the Ray Davies penned “Something better beginning”.

The New Honeycombs have toured with one of the founder members and now are on tour in their own right recreating the sounds of the Sixties and reflecting The Honeycombs hits.

Herman's Hermits

The Mid-60’s music scene was dominated by British Acts; three of which became household names – The Beatles – The Rolling Stones and……

Herman’s Hermits, who are one of the most successful groups throughout the world. From their beginning in Manchester, England, on April 1st 1964, the band has chalked up over 23 hit singles, 10 hit albums, 3 major movies and countless television shows and concert tours all over the world – up to date they have total record sales of over 75 million.

Their touring schedule takes them to Germany, Belgium, Holland, the Scandinavian countries, the U.S.A., Canada, Australia and New Zealand on a regular basis, and they still find time to perform in their home country the United Kingdom, packing in the audiences at every venue and delighting them with their solid musicianship, vocal ability and dynamic stage presence.

The ‘Golden Oldies’ still make up a large part of their show – much to the enjoyment of their fans, who can’t resist singing along to Mr.’s Brown You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter, Silhouettes, Dandy, Henry VIII and others too numerous to mention.

From the Sixties, though the Seventies, Eighties, Nineties and into the 21st century Herman’s Hermits are still ‘Into Something Good’.

Brian Poole

In his career with The Tremeloes, Brian Poole completed three world tours and many UK tours, live, working in recording studios and in films, featuring a host of stars of these professions. He started his career as a studio backing vocalist and often imparts a wealth of amusing and even controversial stories about the 60's era and its stars, many of whom Brian and the Trems backed vocally on their recordings.

In 1960 they were signed to Decca Records and were used as a vocal backing band for many top recording artistes. Brian’s hits include: "Do You Love Me" – No. 1; "Someone Someone" No.2; "Twist & Shout" – No. 3; "Candyman" No.4, plus many more top ten hits including "Three Bells", "I Want Candy", "Keep on Dancing" and "Good Lovin'" and 5 hit albums, all multi million sellers.

In the 70's Brian and the Tremeloes went their separate ways, with Brian pursuing a solo career and at the same time forming his own record company (Outlook Records).

Brian has spent the last 20 years almost constantly on the road performing sell out concerts as far afield as Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, and being the first sixties show ever to perform in China. The shows include 'ReelinandaRockin';. the Solid Silver 60's Show; the Sixties Gold tour and the Brian Poole & The Tremeloes tours.
