The walk centred on Steart Marshes opens up a fascinating world of newly created salt marsh which is acting as a buffer against rising sea levels and a fantastic habitat for a range of unusual flora and wildfowl. Smart hides look out across a landscape of creeks which are a nursery for fish. Well marked and accessible routes take you to the banks of the River Parrett which was breached to create the marshes.
