The Stables Restaurant
The Stables offers visitors an historic space to enjoy a delicious, home-made brunch, lunch or afternoon tea. It’s free to enter (no gardens admission required), whether you sit indoors within the warm and welcoming original stables, or outdoors in the stylish, light, glass-covered courtyard. Perfect for a celebratory lunch, a special catch up with friends or just a casual brunch.
At The Stables, we pride ourselves on using high-quality ingredients, and whenever possible, we source locally, including fresh produce from on-site here at Hestercombe. This commitment to quality and locality is reflected in our unique menus, which are regularly updated to reflect the season.

Caffè + Gelato
Our Caffè + Gelato is now open during the summer. Located in the former Gift Shop, Caffè + Gelato offers a varied assortment of sweet and savoury lunch options, hot and cold drinks and delicious, locally-made gelato by Baboo. It's also dog-friendly!
Hestercombe is a fully cashless venue - only payments by debit or credit card, contactless, Apple Pay and Google Pay are accepted.'

About Hestercombe Gardens
Nestled at the foot of the Quantock Hills AONB, Hestercombe Gardens comprises of 50 acres of historic gardens, including the internationally-renowned Gertrude Jekyll and Sir Edwin Lutyens Formal Garden and Coplestone Warre Bampfylde’s magnificent Landscape Garden, complete with lakes, cascades, temples and incredible views.
Located within the historic house alongside the Book Shop and Gift Shop, Hestercombe Gallery presents a regularly-changing programme of contemporary art, and is well worth a visit before or after dining at The Stables (gardens admission required).
