Our bouldering wall, established in 2023, was designed to create a fantastic space for visitors to Somerset to explore bouldering. Be it a rainy day out with the kids, relaxing with a coffee while others do the hard climbing, or wanting to develop a newly-found skill in climbing, we have something for everyone.

Situated between Bridwater and Minehead by a rural village, with free parking, ChalkUp! is the ultimate way to spend a day when on holiday with kids without the need to go anywhere near a big city! We welcome anyone to this facility who is interested in giving it a go. This could be to try something new, to keep the kids occupied for the afternoon, for serious boulderers, or for outdoor climbers to be ready for a summer of climbing.
 
No experience necessary; we provide climbing shoes; no need to book a time slot;  you can choose to register online in advance or just turn up and register at the desk. No time limit to your climbing session so feel free to take breaks and enjoy a coffee and cake before getting back on the wall. If it’s a sunny day, why not take your coffee to our outdoor picnic area to enjoy the restful views during those must-have rest periods?
 
Bouldering coaching is available on request, just ask our super-helpful staff. We also provide staffed kids’ parties with games and supervision all taken care of and a dedicated kids’ wall for younger children.
 
There is a  full fitness facility available free of charge for adult climbers to warm up and warm down.
 
Don’t fancy climbing but want a great workout while on holiday…..we also provide top notch functional fitness classes and use of our wide ranging open gym facilities on a drop in basis.
