Somerset Opera perform Gilbert & Sullivans 'Iolanthe'

Description

Twenty-five years after being banished from Fairyland for marrying a mortal Iolanthe has been pardoned.  Through this illicit marriage she had a son Strephon, who is half mortal and half fairy. He is in love with Phyllis and is determined to marry her. Firstly though he needs the consent of her legal guardian, The Lord Chancellor.
