All Saints' Church, Culmstock, Cullompton, EX15 3JD
16 Dec 2021
Seasonal music with The Waites of Gloucester this Christmas.
The Waites of Gloucester are modelled on the band of musicians run by the City of Gloucester in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The Waites also perform locally in the Cotswolds under the name “Her Majestie’s Pleasure”. They enjoyed a long association with the Cotswold Early Music Festival, playing regularly at their concerts and other events.
The BEMP Third Thursday series of concerts is being promoted in partnership with the Friends of All Saints’ Church, Culmstock. The concerts will support two great causes, the continued livelihoods of the brilliant musicians invited to perform in the delightful acoustic of All Saints’, and after professional costs are met, the majority of remaining proceeds will be donated toward the development and improvement of the church for wider community access. Statement from BEMP: We have eight events in the pipeline for 2021, starting on May 20 and continuing through the year on the Third Thursday of each month. Please be aware that any changes to prevailing pandemic restrictions will determine the exact details. Travel restrictions and social distancing regulations may restrict audience size for the first few recitals.
