Things To Do
28 Fore Street, TA4 2JP, Wiveliscombe
Wiveliscombe is situated at the foot of the Brendon Hills at the gateway to Exmoor.
The town is a thriving local centre surrounded by stunning countryside.
’Wivey’ is home to numerous shops and galleries, many still with their Victorian frontages whilst the pubs stock ales from the town’s two renowned breweries. Wiveliscombe is a former market and cloth-making town steeped in history. The 10 Parishes Festival in September is a week long celebration of visual and performing arts that brings surrounding villages together to show their vibrant local talent to visitors.
Wiveliscombe, just a 15-minute drive from Taunton, is a delightful town to visit with plenty of historic buildings to admire and some excellent independent shops.
But whatever you do don’t leave without trying a pint….
