The Taunton Visitor Centre, based in the western wing of the landmark Market House, is the place to go to when you want to discover how to make the most of your time in Taunton. The Visitor Centre welcomes over 100,000 visitors and locals through its doors every year and the team is on hand to help you plan the perfect trip!
The county town has plenty to offer from individual boutiques to historic architecture, modern dining to traditional tea rooms, and unspoilt views to the Blackdown Hills and Quantock Hills (both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty). Indeed Taunton offers a wide mix of activities, attractions and events and the Visitor Centre team are on hand to help you plan the perfect trip!
The Taunton Visitor Centre holds information on a wide and varied range of things to do within Taunton and the surrounding areas.
The Visitor Centre Box Office offers tickets for most local and regional events taking place, including the hugely popular Taunton Flower Show. We are a box office for the Brewhouse Theatre and Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre in Taunton and the Playhouse Theatre in Weston-super-Mare. We also sell the popular West Somerset Railway Rover Tickets and our advance price offers a great saving on the station price.
The Travel Centre acts as an agent for Bakers Dolphin, Berrys Coaches, Falcon & Megabus bus services, Holiday Extras, National Express and Transport for London Oyster Cards. As well as the booking service we also offer friendly advice for local transport, parking and accommodation to help make your trip stress-free.
We also offer multiple advertising and marketing opportunities to local businesses, events organisers, charities and more.

The Visitor Centre shop is bursting with products that will help you take home a taste of Taunton, including locally produced biscuits and preserves, hand-crafted cards and a variety of colourful souvenirs. We also stock a large range of local maps, guides and books to help you truly discover Taunton and the surrounding areas.

The Taunton Visitor Centre is located on Fore Street in the centre of Taunton. The nearest car parks are The Crescent (TA1 4EA) and Orchard (TA1 3PF) & High Street (TA1 3PB) multi-storey car parks.
The Market House is the stand-alone red-brick building in the town centre, adjacent to the Burma War Memorial roundabout.
The Taunton Visitor Centre is in the western wing of the Market House. The entrance is on the High Street side of the building, opposite Phase Eight and Hays Travel, and close to the Corporation Street/Fore Street traffic lights.
