Current Government Guidelines (applicable in England):
A three tier, local restrictions system will come into effect from Wednesday 2nd December.

Somerset West and Taunton is in Tier 2: High Alert.

Visit https://www.gov.uk/find-coronavirus-local-restrictions for more information on the tier system and rules.

These new measures will reduce the growth rate of the virus, which will:

  • prevent the NHS from being overwhelmed
  • ensure schools, colleges and universities can stay open
  • ensure that as many people as possible can continue to work

Hands. Face. Space.
To protect yourself and others, when you leave home you must:

  • wash hands - keep washing your hands regularly
  • cover face - wear a face covering over your nose and mouth in enclosed spaces
  • make space - stay at least 2 metres apart, or 1 metre with a face covering or other precautions
  • If you are feeling unwell, get a test and do not leave home for at least 10 days
  • do not meet in groups larger than 6
