A Visit to Hestercombe House and Gardens

16 Apr 2021

At the mention of Hestercombe many people’s first though will be “garden”, but there’s so much more than just that. Yes, the gardens are glorious, landscaped and designed, as many gardening buffs will know, by Edwin Lutyens and Gertrude Jekyll making them worthy of historical note, they are a mixture of striking formal gardens and more naturalistic areas of ponds and cascades where nature and wildlife flourish. The Head Gardener and her team, made up of a number of volunteers, do a wonderful job maintaining a garden of national importance which we are proud to have on our doorstep.

For Families:
Hestercombe is ever-popular with families and the holiday activities are great for children to enjoy. Trails, workshops and events take place throughout the year and they are both educational and fun.
