Orchard Farm Cottages

Description

Come and stay at Orchard Farm in our fully equipped and comfortably furnished self-catering cottages. We have converted a traditional Somerset barn into two cosy holiday cottages, ‘Owls and ‘Birds Nest', on our family farm near Castle Cary in the beautiful Somerset countryside. Both cottages have all rooms at ground level with no steps to negotiate and ‘Birds Nest’ is suitable for wheelchair users. We love dogs and you are welcome to bring your pet on holiday with you. There is ample on-site parking.

Owls Cottage is the perfect choice for families. This cottage has a main bedroom with a double bed, plus a second bedroom with bunk beds, which are ideal for two children. We can provide a travel cot and highchair should you need one, or a fold-up bed in the lounge for an extra person. The bunk beds are the size of a standard single bed and are fine for adults to use too.

In Birds Nest Cottage both bedrooms have double beds, making it ideal for two couples. Bird's Nest has been designed with the less-mobile in mind. There are no steps, everything is on one level and the doors are wide enough to allow for wheelchair use, but of course there is no reason why anyone shouldn't find the cottage pleasant to stay in. We can also offer you a fold-up bed in the lounge for an extra person.

We are just over a mile from the picturesque market town of Castle Cary, with lovely shops to browse around, restaurants and country pubs to enjoy.

Not only are our holiday cottages situated in the countryside, but we also have our own nature reserve, Carymarsh, complete with a comfortable bird hide and footpaths. Whether you want to spend time exploring the local countryside along the footpaths that cross the farm, or visit the many attractions that abound in Somerset, Orchard Farm Cottages provides an ideal base.
