The Masons Arms Campsite
The Masons Arms campsite in Odcombe near Yeovil is peacefully situated well away from the road overlooking open fields, we have 14 pitches in the summer, 8 with electrical hook ups and a large hard standing area allowing the site to be open all year. The campsite has a unisex shower block with 2 toilets, 2 showers, 3 sinks, wash up area, hairdryer and iron and ironing board. Each pitch is clearly marked out with a minimum size of 8x9m and many larger pitches, and overlooks open fields.

The site is pleasantly laid out with plenty of room for each pitch and space in the middle of the field for children to play and for informal chats between campers, the atmosphere is laid back and friendly and you can mix as little or as much as you wish. With no traffic noise to disturb you it's just sounds of the countryside that might welcome in the morning and often there is plenty of wildlife to spot such as squirrels, hedgehogs, foxes passing in the nearby fields and birds including birds of prey hunting in the hedgerows.

It is part sloping with a large flat area at the bottom with plenty of electrical hook up points. We also have FREE Wi-Fi on the site. Unfortunately due to access issues, there is a tight turning into the site, we no longer accept caravans. Motorhomes, campervans and trailer tents are welcome and of course tents. There is room to park on your pitch and overflow parking in the pub car park if needed. The advantage of staying here is that you are able to enjoy a lovely meal in the pub with maybe a drink or two and no concerns as to who is driving home! We also have a takeaway pizza and fish and chip menu if you prefer to eat on your pitch.

There is also a lovely farmshop just a short stroll through the village at Greensleeves nursery stocking the essentials such as milk and butter as well as local fruit and vegetables. There is plenty to do in the area with beaches within 45 minutes, National Trust properties close by, excellent walking on your doorstep and pretty towns for shopping just a short drive away. We are only 5 minutes from Yeovil which has 2 train stations and a bus station as well as good road links to the rest of the South West. Whether you just want to break your journey or stay and explore South Somerset and all its attractions you can be sure of a warm welcome from us.

The Pub

The Masons Arms in Odcombe has been lovingly developed by the current owners, Paula and Drew, over the last 15 years and now boasts 6 en suite bed and breakfast rooms, a self catering cottage, Shepherds Hut, campsite, wood fired pizza oven, takeaway service and a microbrewery!

We have a well deserved reputation locally for providing excellent meals and fabulous service providing an ambience and hospitality in the age old tradition of English Inns and have recently been awarded an AA rosette for culinary excellence by the AA. The menu changes seasonally and further choice is available through daily specials, we use local suppliers for the majority of our produce, supporting smaller, family owned businesses wherever possible. We have a productive garden producing fruit, herbs and vegetables to utilise in the kitchen so the chefs can often be seen gathering produce in the summer.

The brewery was established in 2000 by a previous owner and we resurrected it in December 2005 with help from Shepherd Neame. We have four ales regularly available namely Odcombe No.1 at 4% abv, Odcombe Spring at 4.1% abv, Roly Poly at 4.2% abv and Drewers Broop at 4.3%. We also have two seasonal ales, Winters Tail at 4.3% abv and Half Jack at 3.8% abv, they are mostly named after my dogs and they have their picture on the front, guessing the breed of each dog is a popular pastime amongst new guests!

To complement our menu we offer an excellent wine list and range of bottled beers, spirits and soft drinks. Wherever possible we try to use family owned companies and products without additives. Whether you are a driver, a drinker or a diner we are sure to have something to suit your palate.
