Located in the beautiful Somerset countryside, close to the medieval city of Wells, parts of Worth House date back 400 years, although the main part of the house is 200 years old. Ideally located for exploring Somerset and visiting the local attractions including Wells Cathedral, the Bishop’s Palace, Wookey Hole Caves, Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge. Relax in the former farmhouse with parts dating to the 16th Century. Views from the front of the house of the Mendip hills and from the back of our beautiful garden with the fabulous weeping willow, and farmland. Enjoy time in the garden drinking locally produced cider or wine, or anything else which takes your fancy from our honesty bar! The house offers a perfect setting to escape from the stress of modern living. There are three good pubs within walking distance - the excellent Pheasant pub is less than a 10 minute walk. Whether you want to explore the history of the local area, bird watching at Ham Wall, cycling, walking, climbing, caving or just relaxing in the countryside with a picnic (we can provide), there is something for everyone. Guests are also welcome to relax in the comfortable living room with views of the garden.
