The Grand Pier have gone above and beyond this week for Evergreen Primary Academy in Bristol, a school located in one of the most deprived areas of the country.
The Pier team have very kindly gifted a typical British seaside favourite day out for 174 students this coming Tuesday (16th), giving all children and teachers FREE Unlimited Ride Wristbands and complimentary Mr Whippy ice creams, ensuring a day filled with lots of laughter and thrills.
Avram, 6, was just one of the many children who said: “This was the best day ever!”
Evergreen Primary Academy serves a diverse community where many children and families face various forms of deprivation.
This trip offered a brilliant opportunity for these students to enjoy the superb attraction.
The school, rated 'good' by Ofsted, is part of the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF), an ambitious educational partnership comprising 35 schools across the Southwest of England.
CLF's commitment to providing quality education and enriching experiences for all students, regardless of background, is evident in this special outing.
The Grand Pier, a beloved landmark since 1904, pulled out all the stops to ensure an unforgettable experience for the Evergreen pupils, after they were pulled out of the hat.
From thrilling rides to the treat of ice cream, the children will be spoilt in the magic of this seaside trip.
Headteacher Kerry Coote said: “We want to give a huge thank you to The Grand Pier and everyone involved in creating this incredible opportunity. We also want to thank all of the fundraisers who have been helping fundraise for the transport on the day.”
This event not only provides a day of fun but also serves as a powerful reminder of the positive impact that businesses and educational institutions can have when they collaborate to support communities in need.
The smiles on the children's faces told a story of joy, wonder, and the creation of lasting memories on one of the world's best seaside piers.
