In order to celebrate Independence Day weekend in style, the Helicopter Museum is once again hosting the most awesome car show this side of the Mississippi. A huge range of American Cars are sure to mosey on down to the museum on July 3rd and this is your chance to see Cadillacs, Lincolns, Mustangs and much, much more. Last year saw over 100 American automobiles attend the event so who knows how many there will be this year. Thank goodness that the American police cars that were so popular last year will again be on patrol to keep everyone in line!
Access to the cars is completely included with standard entry to museum so once you’ve got your fill of the cars; visitors can also enjoy over 80 helicopters. A particular highlight is sure to be the helicopters of our Vietnam Zone, all of which flew during the war. For example, our Huey was almost certainly at the Tet Offensive!
But that’s not all! There will be a competition for the best American fancy dress. If you are a dead ringer for Al Capone, George Washington, Marilyn Monroe or any other American icon, we’d love to see you there. Entry to the competition is FREE and the grand prize is a FREE helicopter experience ride worth over £40! With all this excitement, visitors can also refuel in the museum’s new café where a special menu will be available. Expect American-style burgers and hot dogs with ice ring doughnuts for after and why not wash it all down with a refreshing milkshake too!
“Through our Covid-safe events, everyone at the museum was really proud to offer some welcome relief from lockdown-life last year and we are supremely confident we can provide even better experiences for visitors in 2021”, said Marketing Assistant, Rob Wood.
The Helicopter Museum is a registered charity & houses the world’s largest collection of helicopters including two aircraft of the Queen’s Royal Flight.
