Golf is a critical part of the wider sporting visitor economy in the UK worth £4 Billion annually and Visit Somerset wants to ensure that Somerset is helping to set Somerset up as a serious regional golfing hotspot .

John Turner CEO Visit Somerset has said; “We are delighted that Mendip Spring has decided to start working with Visit Somerset in an effort along with Golf South West to raise the profile on the county’s fantastic Golf industry.  We’ve got something for everyone in the county and to now have the ability to start supporting Golfing is a really great opportunity”.

Mendip Spring and I are thrilled to now be working alongside Visit Somerset, supporting the game of golf throughout the County and beyond. Somerset is an outstanding destination for many reasons, and you will find a wealth of stunning golf courses across the region. Moving forward we are really pleased that Visit Somerset will be supporting and publicising Somerset as a top golfing destination. For Mendip Spring and I to be at the forefront of this is extremely exciting”

Golf South West have said;” "Golf South West are extremely proud to be working alongside Visit Somerset, a partnership that will benefit the golf businesses in the county.
We are thrilled that venues such as Mendip Spring Country Club are following us by joining Visit Somerset in their campaign to grow tourism in the area.  We have been working with Scott at Mendip Spring since 2016 and they have been more than welcoming to our groups of golfers. We have seen a huge increase in golfers visiting Somerset over the last few years and we would like to think that this has been a joint effort of both ourselves and the golf clubs."
