Radstock Museum announces that it will re-open on Sunday 16th August (2pm) and then on Wed and Sun afternoons 2.0 until 5.0.
The Museum has been treated using Virus Shield wherever possible and is regularly re-treated in high contact areas. We regret that we are not yet able to reopen the Shop or the Buffet facilities.
 

Please help us to maintain it virus-free by sticking to the following guidelines:

Please SOCIALLY DISTANCE – 2 metres from other groups

Only ONE FAMILY GROUP IN FOYER at any time, you will be called through to admissions when it is ready

Please HAND SANITISE on entry and, unless exempt, WEAR A FACECOVERING.

CARD PAYMENTS ONLY – please use contactless if possible

Please give your CONTACT DETAILS when requested, as required by the government for track and trace

Please follow the MARKED ROUTE (clockwise)

Please try to AVOID TOUCHING exhibits/cabinets etc

Only LIMITED TOILET FACILITIES will be available

Anyone like Fossils! ?

Our permanent displays cover two floors within the listed building which was once the Radstock Market Hall.

Around the ground floor we tell the story of the coalmines, the mining communities of Radstock and the local trades and industries which supported that community.
 

 

We have displays of local geology and rare fossils in our Geological Section.
