The Beach Hotel in Minehead, Somerset support the homeless

The Beach Hotel, Minehead, Somerset
have been working in collaboration with the Council to provide the support for those in need and since the weekend we have welcomed many new people through our doors to ensure they have a safe space to isolate, since last 3rd April we have made available 24 rooms from the beach to rough sleepers we are currently hosting 16.

The team have been working exceptionally hard to support this transition from collecting donations to making meals and creating space for everyone; they have all done us proud.
The Great Western Hotel in Taunton has been made available to the Covid 19 response team and continues to provide secure and safe accommodation to key workers from Musgrove Park Hospital.

The YMCA chefs team are now helping feed over 230 families and young people throughout Somerset West and Taunton, Sedgemoor and North Somerset. They are providing over 3000 meals a week to unsure they
 
YMCA said;  "We look forward to the day when we can look back on this time and know that as a community that we came together to support each other. Once we find ourselves heading back to a new state of normality, we will be ready to welcome you to the Beach Hotel or The Great Western Hotel with open arms once again".
