The day out for families with a child with cancer, hosted annually by charity Children with Cancer UK, includes a welcome by the local fire service – with a fire truck and Fido (the fire dog), free rides all day, lunch and Easter-related activities and goodies, as well as a special appearance by an Easter bunny character.
The Grand Pier event is one of several activities organised by Children with Cancer UK to support young cancer patients and ease the burden for families affected by childhood cancer.
