Description

SEE THE 118-YEAR-OLD DARRACQ DRIVE AGAIN!
One of the oldest cars in the Museum’s collection, the 1903 Type L Darracq will be put through her paces outside the Museum this October, before she takes part in the 125th anniversary of the London-Brighton Veteran Car Run. For visitors, it’s a rare opportunity to take photos, see how a 100-year-old car works and meet some of the Restoration team who look after her! Understandably, this event is weather dependant, so please check himm.co.uk for details.

MEET THE MODEL MAKER!
A must see for model-making enthusiasts is a new display of fabulously intricate, 1:12 scale replicas of cars in the Collection, commissioned by the late John Haynes OBE. Now beautifully displayed in the new exhibition ‘The Man, the Manuals and the Museum’, on Tuesday 26th and Thursday 28th, October 10 am - 2 pm bespoke model maker, David Hayward will be on hand to talk all things model making! There’s also a brand-new family trail inspired by these models, where visitors can discover both the replicas and their life-sized inspiration. All events are included with Museum entry, visit himm.co.uk for more details or to book your tickets.
