Somerset is proud to be the home of Glastonbury Festival - known as Glasto to locals - and it’s not hard to see why. It’s the world’s longest-running greenfield pop festival, sells out in minutes, and has hosted many of music’s most important and high-profile performers since its inception in 1970. Like Somerset itself, the festival welcomes visitors with warm hospitality that reflects a diverse range of alternative lifestyles.


Where is Glastonbury Festival?

The Glastonbury Festival site covers the rolling fields belonging to Worthy Farm, owned by festival organiser Michael Eavis. Along with his daughter Emily, Michael is a Visit Somerset Ambassador too. Each year it welcomes almost 200,000 guests - plus their tents - and wows with stunning views across the Somerset Levels and Glastonbury Tor.


Where is Glastonbury Festival?

The site is actually located in the village of Pilton, not Glastonbury town -  which is why you may hear locals referring to it as the Pilton Pop Festival.
