World Horse Welfare Glenda Spooner Farm

Come and visit World Horse Welfare's Glenda Spooner Farm Rescue and Rehoming Centre. Located on the outskirts of the ancient, Royal town of Wessex, Somerton, we are situated in the heart of the rural landscape of South Somerset. We care for and rehabilitate around 65 horses and ponies at any one time with the aim to find them loving new homes, and take approximately 100 horses through our doors each year. The farm has had a recent re-development and our new facilities will help us rescue and rehabilitate even more horses.

Meet the horses

Come and see some of the rescued horses and ponies we have in our care and learn more about the rehabilitation process so they can go on to find loving homes. You can also take a walk around one of our great farm walks, which will take you past horses relaxing in their paddocks and the breath-taking great views over the Somerset Levels. The farm sits in 220 acres of unspoilt countryside and there are many opportunities to spot the wildlife around our lake. You might even find a horse or pony that you would like to rehome.
