This magical and quirky Somerset town of Glastonbury is full of history, myths and legends and holds a real fascination, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.

Situated in the heart of the Somerset levels in rural South West England, look for the mystical beacon  Glastonbury Tor  that dominates the skyline where you can see for miles.  This Iconic and evocative landmark is steeped in history and legends.  Glastonbury Tor is known as being one of the most spiritual sites in the country.  Its pagan beliefs are still very much celebrated. It is a beautiful place to walk and relax and admire the views which include the famous Glastonbury Festival. There is a Tor Bus available, this service takes you to the base of the Tor (return journeys to the town centre are available).  The Tor Bus is a seasonal service (April to the end of September).

At its base is the Chalice Well, this ancient Holy Well surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens is steeped in Glastonbury’s myths and legends including Joseph of Arimathea and King Arthur.  This is the idea retreat to take a step back from the busy world beyond its walls.  The iron water that flows throughout the garden which you are more than welcome to taste will add to your relaxing experience of this wonderful garden.

Just across the road you will find the Somerset Rural Life Museum rich in rural and social history, enjoy the family trails the farmyard gallery, outdoor sculptures and much more along with the magnificent 14th century Abbey Barn.
