Like a normal library, you can sign up as a member and borrow items for as long as you need. We have a large variety of items, such as power tools, kitchen appliances, gardening tools and sporting equipment. We help to save you money and space, while reducing waste and emissions.

Did you know that the average drill is used for only 13 minutes in its entire lifetime? Do you want to start saving waste and reducing your footprint by borrowing instead of buying? Simply join as a one of our 4 membership types (Standard, Subscriber, Low Income and Student) which suit a range of incomes. This can be done in store, or online at sharefrome.org/membership. And then start borrowing! We charge a small fee for each item and based on the length of borrow. We have just under a thousand items, in 10 categories, which are Arts and Crafts, Baby and Children, Events, DIY, Gardening tools, Household and Garden, Kitchen Equipment, Leisure and Camping, Music, Media and Audio/Visual and Sports and Games. Planning a camping trip in the summer? You can also reserve items in advance to guarantee you will have access to the things you need. Although SHARE:Frome is currently closed for the current lockdown, I have put our new opening hours for once we re-open, hopefully in March. These hours will change by late spring/early summer, however, as we are in the process of hiring more staff to be able to open more frequently.
