Farleigh Hungerford

Historic village dominated by the ruined castle.

The castle is in the care of English Heritage and admission is charged. A walk around will reveal hundreds of years of gory goings on topped off with a visit to the crypt.

Explore the rest of the village with a Village Trail available from Frome Tourist Information.

Over the river Stowford Manor Farm offers cream teas in summer along with a range of workshops from glass working to stonemasonry. In July each year thousands flock here to the Village Pump Festival for four days of the best folk and world music in an idyllic setting on the river banks.
