The locals are extremely friendly as are the members of staff, who offer a cheery smile and plenty of conversation. Horses tethered up outside and tractors in the car park are the 'norm' at this delightful country pub.
The home cooked food and filled baguettes served Monday to Saturday lunchtime 12-2:30pm are highly recommended and if you're not driving, the real ales and cider are definitely worth sampling. All of these can be enjoyed in the lovely beer garden, or on the patios and terraces surrounding the pub.
A visit to the Black Horse is like being transported to a different world in. Sitting in the heart of the Gordano Valley, it's somewhere you can watch the world go by. There are plenty of glorious country walks that can be enjoyed from the Kicker and the Gordano Valley cycle route is close by.
