Weston Town Council officially joins Visit Somerset.
John Turner CEO of Visit Somerset has said; "We are thrilled with the news and are looking forward to working with Weston Town Council and  Visit Weston as part of wider project development. In light of government policy changing to support local coastal towns, it is a really good time to begin working together. We are already identifying business opportunities with Weston’s potential to become a business hub with good connectivity to London and its array of business conferencing facilities. Whilst we begin plans to launch with Visit Weston and the Town Council, a Coastal Summit meeting with stakeholders including the Severn Estuary Partnership, has been set for the 17th September to discuss how we can work together to reinvigorate the coastal regions, bringing key partners along from other coastal resorts in Somerset. The belief being that we are stronger together.”

Malcolm Nicholson - Town Clerk at Weston Town Council has said; “Visit Weston was established in 2013 by Weston Town Council and has a successful track record of promoting our seaside resort. It is very exciting now to link up with Visit Somerset to work together marketing Weston-super-Mare internationally as well as nationally.”
