Visit Somerset support Coastal strategy for Somerset
Other parties involved will be Visit Somerset London PR agency, supported by Hinkley Tourism Action Partnership and the Severn Estuary Partnership.

In light of the frustrating ‘Which Report’, Visit Somerset, Visit Weston and Minehead BID are holding a meeting to look at ways of turning the tide on old perceptions of the Somerset coastline.

John Turner, Visit Somerset CEO, has said: "We are going to look at the Somerset Coastlines fantastic selling points and the great opportunities that the county's coastlines can create for visitors. From well-being to culture and history, heritage and nature, our forty-nine miles of coast has so much to offer, yet has been tainted by ill-conceived perceptions of yesteryear and the popularity of foreign holidays. However, we have a great opportunity to win back those holidaymakers with a really fantastic line-up that our coastline can boast. We look very much forward to reporting back on the plans after the first summit meeting.”
