Visit Somerset and Yeo Valley supplier request

Product-Range_Leader-Image.pngDear Member,

You will see an announcement from Visit Somerset over the coming days to communicate a fantastic new relationship with Yeo Valley, Visit Exmoor and Visit Somerset.  We wanted to write to our producer members specifically ahead of this as there are potential opportunities that you may be interested in getting involved in.  As you know, we have worked together previously to deliver the hugely successful Exmoor & Somerset Producer Excellence event, which was held in December of last year, and on the 'Cook-in' event which was postponed due to COVID-19.  We are delighted to be working together with a long-term strategy in place.

We wanted to make you aware of the Yeo Valley Yeokens Loyalty Scheme. This presents a chance for brands to be introduced to Yeo Valley customers. There are 1 million Yeokens customers, attracting 250k visitors per month to their online platform.

  • The scheme presents consumers with the opportunity to be introduced to brands with Yeokens discounts, for example X% off a £Y spend. The scheme works by consumers collecting Yeokens, they do this by buying a Yeo Valley product which has a unique code that is entered online, consumers collect up the Yeokens, which can in turn be used to get discounts, be entered into raffles and get freebies.

  • Yeo Valley also run a series of Yeoken competitions and there is the chance for Visit Exmoor producer brands to promote themselves by offering prizes for these competitions.

Yeo Valley are also developing an online farm shop. This initiative has not yet been announced.  The online farm shop, initially focused on ambient food produce and non-food items, that can be stored and transported without refrigeration.   They are looking for local producers to become suppliers for the online shop with produce that fulfil their core proposition of supporting British produce, with products that support sustainable and healthy farming.  They would love to hear from our Visit Exmoor producers and if you would like to discuss your products please contact Emily on the address below to find out more details and the criteria for their suppliers.

If you are interested in finding out more about these initiatives please contact Emily Salvidge on emily.salvidge@yeovalleyfarms.co.uk who will be able to provide you with further details. We hope you are as delighted as we are about the opportunities presented by our relationship with Yeo Valley!

As always, if you have any questions about this or any other Visit Exmoor initiatives, please get in touch.

Many Thanks

Visit Somerset Team
