RAF News

The RAF News has been the official publication of the Royal Air Force since 1961 and as tourism begins to open up post pandemic they are launching a brand new travel section. At present hard copy circulation of the RAF News remains over 50,000 per issue, with an overall reach of 250,000, including on-line.

They are interested in two areas Porlock and Wells, along these three themes;

STAY Accommodation to review - In this case, the unusual if possible (Lighthouses, castles, shepherd's huts, railway carriages, cottages, islands, towers, boats etc.) They are really open to ideas here so themed hotels, caravan parks etc. could also be great ideas.

2 RELAX Location ideas - Secluded beaches, picturesque villages, venues to visit, guided tours etc. -

3 ADVENTURE For those who love the fun stuff - Jet Ski's, Powerboat hire, rock climbing, zip lines, theme parks, concerts, rally driving (just a guide)

As a starting point, if you are an accommodation provider in either of these two areas who is prepared to donate two nights stay, then we can use that as basis to devise the associated activities. Timing: this autumn, suggest come back with a few date options.

If you would like to participate in either of these opportunities then please contact Giles Adams, giles.adams@visitsomerset.co.uk, mobile 07952 896995
