North Somerset Tourism Businesses, Limited availability Visit Somerset membership

 
North Somerset District Council has commenced working with Visit Somerset, the official Destination Management Organisation. The main promotional tool, www.visitsomerset.co.uk, benefits from over 750,000 unique users and 2.5million page views in a normal trading year.
 
Visit Somerset has been working with Somerset’s local authorities during 2020 to develop a range of business support and recovery programmes, one of which is to maximise digital capabilities in line with consumer trends, tastes, expectations and booking behaviour.
 
North Somerset District Council are funding a maximum number of 40 bronze memberships for one-year duration of Visit Somerset as part of a wider focus with the organisation on tourism promotion in the area.
 
We are taking this opportunity to attach details of membership with Visit Somerset, so that you can be aware of the higher levels of marketing support available, should you wish to develop a more comprehensive working relationship.
 
Due to the support of North Somerset Council and other stakeholders Visit Somerset is adding to its range of digital marketing tools, including:
 
  • Real time online accommodation booking
  • A Visit Somerset digital booking experience platform which is now live
  • Automated Chat Bot tools to aid with consumer conversations
  • Specific North Somerset area on the Visit Somerset website with localised geo functionality for all businesses in localised region.
 
These memberships will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and are also subject to the following criteria;
 
-      Businesses should have been operational prior to March 1st 2020.
-      Businesses should have a functioning and up-to-date website and commitment to digital marketing, evidenced by historic and ongoing social media activity.
