Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm are spreading the love during May half-term.

Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm are getting involved with the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) annual campaign ‘Love Your Zoo Week’. BIAZA is the professional body representing the best zoos and aquariums in the UK and Ireland. The association has more than 100 Zoo and Aquarium members whom support in their commitment to be at the forefront of conservation, education and research.

Love Your Zoo week is an annual, nationwide event which coincides with May half-term, where BIAZA members hold a range of activities to promote the important work they do with regards to conservation, education and research. This year the campaign runs from Saturday 25th May to Sunday 2nd June and Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm will participate in a range of fun-filled activities to suit all ages.

The Ark will host a BIAZA love heart trail around the zoo as well as a colouring competition with the chance to win one of the zoo’s popular Keeper Experience’s. What’s more the keepers at Noah’s Ark will be in the hot seat with daily social media diaries & online followers can take part in a photography competition.

The zoo will also be hosting exclusive conservation talks. For one week only public can watch Bear & Siamang Feeds as well as Giant Tortoise & Africa talks featuring Zebra, Giraffe, Rhino & Ostrich.

Head Curator, Chris Wilkinson explained why he loves Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm and also weighed in on the importance zoos play in conservation:

“We love Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm because in the last 20 years this family run attraction that has gone from a strength to strength increasing the number of species it cares for dramatically. We are proud to be one of the largest zoos in the South West. BIAZA’s Love Your Zoo campaign is important to help visitors understand the important roles zoos play in supporting conservation. Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm have a dedicated group of keepers that put conservation at the forefront of everything they do.“

Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is open Monday – Saturday 10:30am – 5pm.
