TV company takes to the beach

Berrow Beach in Somerset has proved to be the ideal site for TV production company making a series testing the reality of some of the latest online video clips that have viewers gasping, liking and sharing.
Nerd TV is making a series for National Geographic Channel that has an engineer and a stunt man analysing some of the wackier footage to see if it is genuine and recreating the scenarios in an attempt at proving it one way or the other.
The company approached Sedgemoor District Council about using Berrow Beach which has good access and a six mile stretch of sand, the second longest in Europe.
Sedgemoor was delighted to welcome a film crew to its coast again – it has featured in a number of dramas and documentaries in recent years – and worked quickly to have everything in place to allow filming to go ahead.
